Summary
Chirograph containing the settlement issued by R[andulphus] abbot of Saint-Jean des Vignes at Soissons, G[uido] deacon, and I[oahnnes] master of the schools at Soissons between the church of Chéhéry belonging to the Cistercians and the church of St. Vincent of Metz over tithes from Chastel, presumably Chatel-Chéhéry near where the monastery of Chéhéry is located. Dated, "Actum anno verbi incarnatj M. cc. ix. xvj kalendas Nouembris. Dat[um] Svession[is] pontifatus d[omi]nj Hejmardj Ep[iscop]i Svession[is] anno secvndo." Three pairs of slits for seals at foot of document. Bottom half of the word CYROGRAPHVM written across the top of the document. Staining along left margin. Note at upper left in later hand, "le 16 cal. 8bre 1209." Notes on verso summarizing the document in Latin and French.
