Document in which Galeazza Maria Sforza, Duke of Milan and Pavia, promises protection for Orpheus de Richano and his possessions. "Dat[um] Villanoue die viij Septembris M.cccc.LXX quinto." Four signed attestations, the ducal seal affixed with thread, and a further statement "Registrata ad cameram offitij referen. ..." Staining at foot of document; three holes along line 17, with minimal obscuring of text. Circular pattern of small punctures on the verso of the ducal seal. "6359" in faded ink on verso.
