"The translation below is that of the Organization of American States (OAS) as published in 1982, into which has been consolidated new translation concerning the following Articles amended between 1982 and 2019: 5, 17, 28, 29, Chapter IIIA (Arts. 43-A and 43-B), 51-55, 59, 97, 102, 112, 116, 145, 171, 182-183, 185-186, 189, 199, 200, 202, 205, 208, 213, 218, 222-226, 230, 232-236, 238-240, 242-246, 249, 250, 263, 267, 272-274, 276-286, 290, 291, 293, 294, 303-320, 329, 370 and 377. Pending a new translation of the whole of the text, the balance of the OAS translation has been retained largely unaltered, save for several corrections to the division of Articles into their constituent paragraphs to bring them into accord with the original Spanish text published in La Gaceta No. 23.612 of 20 January 1982. As aids to the consolidation of the amended text translated directly from the corresponding amending laws, the following Spanish consolidations were primarily consulted:-- as amended to 2009 as provided by the Centro Electrónico de Documentación e Información Judicial (CEDIJ) of the Judicial Power of Honduras: http://www.poderjudicial.gob.hn/juris/Leyes/Constitución%20de%20la%20República%20(09).pdf [consulted Feb. 2011];- as amended to 2008, that of the Secretariat of Government and Justice: www.politicagt.com/2009/constitucion-honduras.pdf [consulted Feb. 2011]; - as amended to 2005, as provided by the Central Bank of Honduras: www.bch.hn/download/juridico/leyes/constitucion_republica.pdf [consulted Nov. 2010]; and- as amended to 2005, as provided by the Supreme Electoral Tribunal: www.tse.hn/web/documentos/Costitución%20de%20la%20República.pdf [consulted Nov. 2010]. It should be noted that there is disagreement between these, and indeed in many other consolidations, in their presentation of a number of Articles. Most problematic is the disagreement concerning Art. 205 ¶7, Art. 240 ¶1 and Art. 272. The most recent amendments concern Articles 5, 43-A, 53-B, 51-55, 199, 202, 205, 213, 240, 242, 272, 274 and 303. These are translated from the texts of Decree No. 200-2018 as ratified by Decree No. 2-2019, as published in the official gazette, La Gaceta, Year CXLI, No. 34,856 of 24 January 2019, and No. 34,864 of 6 February 2019, respectively."--Title page verso.
