Summary
First edition, uncommon, of a detailed treatise on vaulations of estates for legal purposes. the theory and process of estimating the value of a given preoperty is an essential device of the law for settling disputes between property owners and for determining claims between private owners and government. Typical cases include inheritance questions, tax assessment, insurance claims, compensation claims and the use of the property as security for bank loans. Weltrich, a Bavarian tax official, sets out to provide other officials with easy and adaptable tools for carrying out reliable and reasonably objective valuation. he is mostly concerned with valuations in agriculture. After an extensive theoretical part, practical examples are given on the seventeen tables, giving production figures, averages, profit calculations, etc. This work is not only of great interest as a manual for the assessment of estate values, but also as a compendium of expected production figures, cost of seed, fertiliser and manpower, and therefore of agricultural costing in general.
