Summary
1632 English, printed copy of the Charter of Maryland. A notation at the beginning of some copies indicated that original print was the earliest printed document relating to the colony. The Charter was granted to Cecil Calvert, second Lord Baltimore on June 20, 1632, and copied from the Charter of Avalon, which was granted to the First Lord Baltimore in June 1623.
