"The aim of this publication is to provide a quick source of reference for practitioners. For that purpose the relevant paragraphs of the judgments and a number of orders of the General Court and the Court of Justice are presented in the form of extracts sorted by subject. Each subject heading starts with extracts having a more general meaning followed by extracts relating to specific points or situations. The extracts correspond as closely as possible to the literal text of the paragraph(s) of the judgments and orders referred to. In most cases differences between the text of the extracts and the paragraphs of the judgments concerned only relate to changes in grammar, word sequence and introductory phrases which are necessary in order to present the entries in a readable form. Since in a minority of cases this technique is not possible, the relevant paragraphs of the judgments are summarized."--Preface.
