Summary
Proceedings of the Lewisburg Convention, from August 1-3, 1842 and submitted along with a petition to the General Assembly. The petition from the citizens of Greenbrier County requested a law to call a full convention to amend the Virginia Constitution which would equalize the representation in the state. Transmitted to the House of Delegates by Virginia governor James McDowell on January 9, 1843.
