This panel featured a post-election discussion on the impact of redistricting on the outcomes of the 2012 General Election. The 2010 U.S. Census revealed significant population growth among Latino and Asian-American communities throughout the U.S., restructuring national and statewide electoral districts in both urban and rural minority localities. Redistricting plans based on the 2010 Census data altered the electoral landscape for Black and Latino voters throughout the U.S. Based on the 2012 General Election outcomes, how did redistricting plans shape electoral outcomes?
