Some tech companies are known for great work perks, such as gourmet cafeterias, entertainment, free shuttles, and subsidized amenities. But what are the work conditions like for the new economy's hidden workers — like janitors, drivers, security guards, food preparers, construction workers, temp worker, and labor contractors — who provide subcontracted services to tech companies? Shouldn't such workers be getting a piece of the wealth generated by this new economy?
