Reflections on diversity in the Massachusetts legal profession is the latest title in MCLE's growing Legal Heritage Series, established to celebrate Massachusetts' rich legal history and to support MCLE's scholarship initiatives. This book presents a varied collection of personal narratives and historical accounts by Massachusetts lawyers of different religions, genders, races, and sexual orientations. Some pieces present a history of exclusion and bias leading to increased inclusion and acceptance. Others present personal stories. Still others reflect on how the author's background influences his or her practice today. Whether the authors' reflections are grounded in the past or the present, MCLE intends that this collection will provide an opportunity for the reader to reflect on the issue of diversity in the Massachusetts legal profession and that it raises evenmore questions for future discussion and further reflection.
