Market conduct examination reports are preformed periodically by states to review an insurance company's operations in the state market. The review typically covers the company's sales, advertising, ratings, and handling of claims. The examination reports are generally between 20 and 40 pages long, although some reports only look at a single topic and can be around 10 pages. Each state conducts its own reports and customers like to have access to them to see how a state treats other companies, what topics it typically covers, what problems are found, and how those problems or violations are penalized.
