Summary
1852 Majority report of the North Carolina House Committee on Constitutional Reform, recommending no passage, the bill under consideration, and the minority report which highly endorsed it, citing the "principle of equality". The bill would amend the Constitution of North Carolina to remove the freehold requirement for voters in Senate elections. Of note, the section still limited voters to "all free white men...."
