Summary
Am 6. Oktober 2018 feierte Reiner Schulze seinen 70. Geburtstag. Mit seiner Erfahrung und seinem Wissen spielte er in den letzten Jahren eine einzigartige Rolle bei der Gestaltung des Europäischen Privatrechts. Einzigartig waren nicht nur die zahlreichen Arbeiten, die er schrieb, sondern auch die große Zahl an persönlichen Beziehungen, die er zu Kollegen auf der ganzen Welt pflegte. Es ist fast kein Tag vergangen, an dem er nicht den Austausch mit diesen gesucht hat, entweder jenseits der deutschen Grenzen oder bei ihm in Münster. Diese Begegnungen resultierten meist in einer oder mehreren der zahlreichen gemeinsamen Veröffentlichungen, die Reiner Schulze mit seiner Energie und seinem Enthusiasmus für seine Forschung inspirierte. Anlässlich seines Geburtstages versammelten sich viele seiner Freunde und Wegbegleiter im Osnabrücker Schloss, um ein besonderes Fest zu feiern, das das Europäische Privatrecht von verschiedenen, aber immer persönlichen Perspektiven beleuchtete. Die Beiträge formten ein breites und komplexes Panorama des Zustandes und der Perspektiven des Europäischen Privatrechts und darüber hinaus.
