Summary
February 16, 1733 Proclamation by Governor Jonathan Belcher regarding ownership of land between Kennebeck and St. Croix Rivers, despite a contrary instruction and wrongful appointment of Richard Phillips as governor of the Province of Nova Scotia given by the King. Belcher noted that said actions were contrary to the charter and thus could not be maintained.
Note
This proclamation is in regard to ownership of lands in Maine.
