Summary
December 10, 1832 Proclamation by President Andrew Jackson, warning South Carolina and its citizens following the passage of an ordinance nullifying the tariff acts in the state of South Carolina. Of note, the president condemned the notion of a "state veto on the laws of the Union", and warned the federal laws must be enforced.
