Summary
Report of the House Committee appointed to examine the Register's Office. After examining same, the committee found all in good order, and reported various payments made to the Treasury.
Note
"In addition to the ordinary business appertaining to that office, of copying, issuing, and registering of warrants, receiving, examining and registering surveys, grants have been issued on all surveys which, on the first day of December, 1822, had been in the office six months, except where some defect in the proceedings, or other legal impediment to the emanation of the grant, exists. The number, of grants issued within the last year, is 590, of which 542 have been recorded, and 48 are yet to record, as appears from the record books.'--Page 1.
