Summary
1846 Memorial of the Citizens of the country part of Alexandria County, submitted to the Virginia General Assembly. The memorial objected to the recent retrocession of Alexandria County back to Virginia, noting that its citizens were not consulted and these citizens prefer the District of Columbia. The memorial is signed by "Committee of nine acting by order of the citizens of the county part of Alexandria county."
