Summary
The General Court issued an Act relative to bail in criminal cases. If bail is allowed and a bail bondsman bails a subject, he may bring that subject back to jail at any time and receive the bail money back. If the subject jumps bail and/or fails to appear and the bail bondsman can find him and return him to jail, he can get some money back, but not all. If the subject escapes to another jurisdiction and is apprehended there, the Sheriff of the jurisdiction is obliged to take the subject to at least the next nearest county and that county pushes the subject one more county closer to the original jurisdiction and so on until the subject is back in the original jurisdiction.
