Summary
Report of the Michigan House Committee on State Affairs, which reviewed the petition of Benjamin Porter, who was asking for "remuneration for services rendered and materials furnished in the construction of the Capitol buildings." The Committee concludes, "the determination of the Board of State Auditors, under the joint resolution of the Legislature of 1848, should be deemed a final settlement of the petitioner's claim, and they have accordingly instructed their chairman to report adverse to the prayer of the petitioner." The report is signed by F.J. Littlejohn, Chairman.
