Summary
Discussion of the state of education in Massachusetts, the need for improvements, and the importance of education and free schools. Included is a proposed act entitled, "An act, to provide for the establishment of the Massachusetts Literary Fund." The proposed fund would be used to endow a school for the education of teachers and to aid common schools. The report is signed, "In behalf of the Committee," by W.B. Calhoun.
