Summary
Report of the Michigan House Committee on Education writing in support of the creation of a Chair of Homeopathy in the Medical Department of the University of Michigan. The committee notes that "a very large portion of the people of this State look with distrust, if not with disfavor, upon, the theory and practice of Medicine usually denominated the 'Allopathic System,' which is the only system now taught in the Medical Department of the University, and that a large, constantly increasing, highly respectable and intelligent number of the people of this State, have manifested a preference for the Homeopathic system of Medical treatment, and desire to see it fostered and encouraged." The report is signed by D. McIntyre, Chairman.
