Summary
Report of the Michigan Senate Committee on Public Lands about the sale of swamp lands. The report notes that an act the United States Congress passed on the 28th of September 1850 granted more than 5.8 million acres to the state. The report gives recommendations for conditions for the sale of the lands. The committee recommends that the funds raised be used for an educational fund, with part of it to be used for higher education for females. The report is signed by P. Bills, Chairman.
