The petitioners note that the Legislature of New York allocates an annual amount that allows the publishers to send a copy of their journal to each town and city school superintendent. The petitioners ask that the Legislature of Michigan allocate an amount sufficient to furnish three copies of the Michigan Common School Journal and Teachers' Magazine to each township with a public school.
