A petition from numerous people from Allegan County, Michigan to the Legislature of Michigan. The petitioners request that public lands be transferred to the Grand Rapids and Indiana Railroad Company for a railroad that will extend from Fort Wayne, Indiana to Grand Rapids, Michigan, a distance of 135 miles, with 87 miles in Michigan. The petition Includes nearly five pages of names of the signatories, beginning with Byron Ballou.
