Summary
Report of the Michigan Senate Committee on State Affairs about a bill which would provide drainage of swamp lands. The lands were granted by the United States Congress with the condition that they would be drained and reclaimed. The committee indicates that the construction of highways is an effective way to proceed in reclaiming the land. Highways would also provide access to areas of the state and would promote economic enterprises. The report includes a list of proposed state roads.
