Summary
Report of the Michigan House Committee on State Affairs about requests to authorize a geological survey. The report includes information on the values of a survey and the natural resources of the state. The report concludes that the decision about a survey should be left to the House. "If it shall decide that Michigan--a State so rich in minerals, fisheries, lumber, oil, and almost every natural product and advantage, and yet far behind others in artificial progress, is not able to take the proper step, or that now is not the time to take it, we shall not question its wisdom."
