Summary
Report of the Michigan Senate Committee on Privileges and Elections "to whom was referred the petition of Edmund B. Tyler, contesting the right of the Hon. Elihu B. Pond to hold a seat on this floor." (Page 1). The contested election was for the office of state senator in the Seventh Senatorial District. The committee recommends that the entire Senate hear the case. An unnumber page at the end of the report is a resolution from Mr. Carpenter, of the committee, which indicates that Pond is entitled to the seat. The report includes a petition from Edmund B. Tyler, a certified transcript of votes, a statement from Robert J. Barry, Clerk of the County of Washtenaw and Secretary of the Board of District Canvassers, and other testimony and exhibits.
