Report of the Michigan Senate Committee on Incorporations in response to a message of Michigan Governor Barry about the state bank and asking "what omission of duty or by what strange and unaccountable overturn of justice, it is now permitted to exercise corporate powers and to perform the functions of a bank." (Page 1). The committee notes that a quo warranto was filed against the bank in 1845 and gives information on the case and on bank activities. Included is a letter from C.C. Trowbridge, Esq., in support of the bank.
