Summary
Petition from students of the University of Michigan to the Senate and House of Representatives of Michigan. The petition is related to a plan to put some decisions related to current issues in the hands of a new board, which the petitioners do not support. Issues are related to the students group, Phi Phi Alpha Society, Alpha Nu Society, Beethoven Societies, and Missionary Society. The petitioners note, "Your memorialists beg leave further to state, that we believe that the measures which have been taken to influence your honorable body to take such action as is now contemplated been prompted by a vindictive spirit towards our Faculty and Board of Regents." (Page 3).
