"The undersigned, ladies of Mount Clemens and its vicinity, in the county of Macomb, beg leave respectfully to state to your honorable body that they have read the provisions contained in the House bill No. 40, recently reported to that branch of your honorable body--'a bill to regulate sale of spirituous liquors,''--and fully approve of all its provisions; and therefore respectfully pray that your honorable body will cause the provisions of said bill to become the law of this State in the sale of spirituous liquors."--Page 1.
