Summary
Report of a minority of the Michigan House Committee on Federal Relations, "to whom was referred numerous petitions of citizens of this State, together with the joint resolutions relative to the extention [sic] of slavery and the power of Congress to prohibit the same by legislative enactments, and also instructing our Senators and requesting our Representatives in Congress to use all honorable means to prevent the extension of slavery by such enactments." (Page 1). The minority of the committee recommends passage of resolutions "instructing our Senators and requesting our Representatives in Congress, to use all honorable means to prohibit the extension of slavery in the territories of the United States, now or hereafter to be acquired." (Page 2). The report is signed by Nathan Pierce.
