Summary
Communication from the Erie and Kalamazoo Railroad Company to the Michigan Senate and House of Representatives asking that the company be allowed to issue corporate bonds and to mortgage the railroad and franchises for collateral. The memorial notes that the "road is laid with a flat bar rail, which from long use is much worn and requires to be re-laid with a heavy iron rail." The memorial is signed by Geo. Bliss, Charles Butler, and Hugh White, Committe of Directors. It is dated February, 1851.
