Summary
Report of a Michigan Senate committee about a 1849 report of the Auditor General related to debts of Wayne County. After discussion, the majority of the committee concludes, "that the Auditor General should be required to correct the accounts of the several counties that have thus been erroneously charged with a higher rate of interest than is authorized by law; and herewith report a joint resolution for that purpose..." (Page 2).
