Report of a special committee of the Michigan House that was referred a resolution to examine the Asylum for the Deaf and Dumb and the Blind. Committee members visited the Asylum and reported on buildings, the inadequacy of accommodations, the purpose of the Asylum, the responsibility of the government to provide support, and appropriations. The report is signed by John A. Brooks, Seneca H. Gage, Morgan Enos, and John McDermott, Com. on Asylum for Deaf and Dumb and Blind, at Flint, and E.H. Thomson, Chairman of said Committee.
