"Any person who, during the time of holding any camp or field meeting for religious purposes shall, within one mile of the place of holding such meeting, hawk or peddle any goods, wares, merchandize, provisions or drinks, or practice or engage in any gaming or horse racing, or exhibit or offer to exhibit any shows or plays, shall forfeit for each offence a sum not exceeding twenty dollars, to be recovered on complaint made to any justice of the peace ..."--Bill.
