Report is signed at end by Josiah Quincy, Jr., Chairman. The report concludes, "The Committee ... do not find any such illegal act suffered or performed by the directors or officers of this bank, as would enable the Legislature to repeal its charter. That the bank is now paying all its notes under fifty dollars, and that it is the reasonable expectation of the directors, to redeem within a few months all that may be presented. That whatever may be the ultimate value of the stock, all the liabilities of the bank to others will be paid." (Page 5).
