Summary
September 14, 1868 report of the joint committee of the Georgia Senate and House regarding the books of the past Comptroller-General and Treasurer of Georgia, who were removed by the military authorities of the United States. Various exhibits follow the committee report. These include: statements of Treasury receipts and payments from 1866-1868; a report from John Jones, past Treasurer; statements of accounts from the National Bank of the Republic (New York); a committee addendum; information on money received from tax collectors; information on bonds; a consolidated statement of public debt as of July 1867; and a list of assets and resources of the state.
