Summary
Ogagh was lately at Diahogo and learned the English had destroyed Kittanning, so a force of 1,000 French and Indians were on their way to attack Fort Augusta--this was a warning. He passed on several greetings and said there would be a big Council soon. As he came down the river, he encountered many Delaware. One wanted him to smoke some vermilion tobacco, but Ogagh refused. He decided the Delawares professed peace and friendship, but they did not mean it at all.
