"In obedience to a resolution of the Senate, adopted 29th December, calling for information on various points in reference to the State Library, the Secretary of State, discharging the duties of Librarian, did on the 29th Dec. address letters to the Governor, Auditor, Treasurer, and his predecessor in office, requesting the desired information. The answers of these gentlemen are herewith submitted."--First paragraph.
