Preliminaries include gratulatory verses in Greek and Latin by Johann Agricola (in Greek, with translation in Latin verse by Joannes Geilenkirchen), Geilenkirchen, Philip Menzel, Thomas Stanger, and Georg Roner.
The coat of arms printed on the t.p. verso, and stamped on the front cover, with motto "Quae tarde crescunt diu durant," are apparently those of the author. Cf. Alphonse Roersch, "Arnold de Wachtendonck et son 'album amicorum,'" in: Album opgedragen aan Prof. Dr. J. Vercoullie (Brussel : Paginae, 1927), p. 225-230, at 229.

Binding: contemporary calf, gold-tooled and -stamped on covers, page-edges gilt and gauffered; sewn on 4 double twine bands; with worked endbands (headband wanting); ties wanting. The front cover is gilt-stamped with a large coat of arms, the same arms as those printed in the book; the back cover is gilt-stamped with a small decorative cartouche.
