The coat of arms printed on the t.p. verso, and stamped on the front cover, with motto "Quae tarde crescunt diu durant," are apparently those of the author. Cf. Binding: contemporary calf, gold-tooled and -stamped on covers, page-edges gilt and gauffered; sewn on 4 double twine bands; with worked endbands (headband wanting); ties wanting. The front cover is gilt-stamped with a large coat of arms, the same arms as those printed in the book; the back cover is gilt-stamped with a small decorative cartouche.
