Summary
Where a Taiwanese manufacturer marketing its products world-wide contracts for component parts overseas from a Japanese manufacturere which does not engage in any business activity in California, or in the United States, and sues the latter in a California court for indemnity on account of a product liabilit claim, 1) Is the mere awareness of the Japanese manufacturer that a substantial number of the Taiwanese manufacturer's finished products are sold in California adequate to establish the requisite contacts giving the California cort personal jurisdiction over it? 2) Is the requisite interest of the State of California established by te declared intention of the California Supreme Court to apply California law to the relationship and transactions of the two alien manufactureres and by the assertion of a consequent in the orderly administraion of California laws?
