Copy of the vote of Cardinal Decio Azzolini concerning the beatification of Roberto Bellarmino (1542-1621). Azzolini was made a cardinal by Pope Innocent X in 1654, and held two appointments as an interim Secretary of State under Innocent X and Clement IX, respectively. The procedure of Roberto Bellarmino's beatification and canonization was initiated in the year following his death. He was beatified in 1923 and canonized in 1930, and in 1931 he was granted the title of Doctor of the Church.
