Engraved publisher's device in v. 1 signed: G. Rademaker delin. B. Bernarts sculp. The device in v. 2 appears identical but lacks signatures, as does the engraved initial (v. 1, p. [1]). Rademaker is perhaps to be identified with the painter Gerard Rademaker (1672-1711). The engraver appears to be Balthazar (or Bernard) Bernaerts. Cf. Bryan's dictionary of painters and engravers.

Binding: c. 1: contemporary calf, gold-tooled and -stamped on backs and edges, with title labels, mottled page-edges, and ribbons.
Binding: c. 2: contemporary vellum boards, ties wanting, sewn on 4 vellum bands. Binding disintegrating; gatherings at end from 3Y detached, leaves badly affected by (apparently) water damage; endbands detaching; cover detached at back and wanting back cover board.
