Apparently derived from, or to be identified with, the Paris, 1620 ed. by Jean Leclerc, publisher and engraver, issued with dedicatory epistle signed by Gabriel Michel de La Rochemaillet (lacking here), and presumably imprint data on a title page or other source. Cf. Bibliotheque nationale (France) catalog. A form of publication known as "chronologie collée," the work consists of strips printed or engraved, cut and pasted on 3 contemporary blank sheets, folded and sewn in one folio gathering. Two engraved strips with three portraits each are mounted on p. 1-11. The printed strips, pasted below each engraved strip, contain brief biographies keyed to the numbered portraits. Verso of last leaf contains no portraits but only a single folio-height pasted-on strip, with caption title "Iurisconsultes françois," and brief biographical notices of several French jurists. Caption title. Initials.
Binding: unbound, sewn in library buff paper wrappers.
