The full text of the Nakaz, in 12 chapters. Title page romanized. Signatures: pi⁴ A-3D⁴ 3E². Double columns. Illustration on page 403 signed: I. d. Sthelin inv[eni]t. et del[ineavi]t. C. M. Roth, sculptor Acad. Sc. Petrop. sculpsit. (The otherwise identical etching on page 402 reads "del." for "delt." and, erroneously, "sulpsit" for "sculpsit".) "Sthelin" is apparently to be identified as Jakob von Staehlin, 1729-1796.
Ms. notes on flyleaf. Binding: contemporary leather, gold-tooled and -stamped on back, with title label and red page-edges.
Provenance: R.A. Longmire, Leningrad October 1951 (inscription); another inscription in Russian, dated 1774.
