Summary
"Despite the proliferation of international/ized tribunals during recent years established to try genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes, no comprehensive compilation exists of the jurisprudence emerging from these courts, making it extremely difficult to research this body of law. The War Crimes Research Office (WCRO) initiated a project aimed at filling this gap by providing a regularly updated, searchable database of jurisprudence and key documents relating to international/ized criminal courts and tribunals. The Coalition for International Justice updated and expanded this resource for five years, distributing the jurisprudence via CD-ROM to international and local justice NGOs, media and courts. In 2006, the WCRO again assumed responsibility for the project. This collection of jurisprudence is the only one of its kind and is available to researchers, international/ized courts and tribunals and practitioners of international criminal and humanitarian law around the world. In the summer of 2007, the WCRO launched online access to the jurisprudence, thus expanding access and permitting easy downloading and searching of the documents."--About the Jurisprudence Collections page.
