Investigation by command of the King and Premier of the Hawaiian Islands, in vindication of the course pursued by His Majesty, impugned by William Miller, Esq., H.B.M.'s consul general, who demanded and took possession of the land in Honolulu, claimed by Richard Charlton, Esq., late H.B.M.'s consul for the Hawaiian Islands, in a way not provided for by the decision of the British Government of the 12th Sept. 1843, and without fulfilling the conditions which has then been agreed upon between the Right Honourable the Earl of Aberdeen and His Majesty's late commissioners, Messrs. T. Haalilio and William Richards.
