Notes of a trial before the Jury Court at Edinburgh, 15th March, 1824 : Thomas Morton, ship-builder, in Leith, pursuer, versus John Barclay and others, carrying on business at Stobcross, near Glasgow, under the firm of the Stobcross Shipwright Company, defenders : for an infringement of a patent, granted to the pursuer, for an invention called a slip, by which ships are hauled out of the water, up an inclined plane, for repairs and other purposes.
