The Commission concluded its final session on 27 March 2006 and was replaced by the Human Rights Council in accordance with U.N. General Assembly resolution 60/251 of 15 March 2006. The report is typically arranged as follows: chapter I contains the full text of all draft resolutions and draft decisions recommended for adoption by the Economic and Social Council; chapter II provides the full text of all resolutions and decisions adopted by the Commission during the session; chapter III describes the organization of the work of the session; the remaining chapters summarize the work accomplished on the various agenda items (chapter numbering corresponds to agenda item numbering, e.g. agenda item 11 is covered in chapter XI). The last chapter includes the draft provisional agenda for the next session, with information on expected documentation. Annexes include the session's agenda, information on attendance and a list of documents issued for the session.
ISSUED AS a supplement to the Official Records of the Economic and Social Council (ESCOR) under various supplement numbers; from 1996 onward always published as Supplement No. 3. SHELVED AND BOUND with other ESCOR supplements (in numerical order by supplement number) as part of the Official Records issued for every session of the Economic and Social Council. Missing ESCOR supplements may be held as Masthead documents or be available via ODS. DOCUMENT SYMBOLS: reports on the Commission's sessions are identified by a double U.N. document symbol, e.g. the report covering the Commission's 57th session held in 2001 is symbolled E/2001/23 - E/CN.4/2001/167. This double symbol reflects the fact that each report is (i) submitted to the Commission's parent body, the Economic and Social Council, for consideration at the Council's upcoming session (with documents issued here under the U.N. document series symbol E/2001/-; the second symbol indicates that (ii) the report is also part of the Commission's own document series (E/CN.4/2001/-) because it was drafted and adopted at the Commission's session held shortly before its parent body began meeting in 2001.
Some reports accompanied by Addenda and Corrigenda.
All reports are also available on the United Nations Official Documents System (ODS).
