Issued in monthly parts, with separate title page and accompanying leaf; parts 1-4 are dated 1725, parts 5-9 1726 (information from LC record). These leaves, unsigned and not included in pagination, were evidently meant to be removed before binding, resulting in the 6-leaf gatherings. The Law Library copy, in consequence of a binder's error, includes two such pairs of leaves in v. 4, gatherings U and BB. The sequence of leaves in gathering U is as follows: U1 (p. 293-294); unsigned leaf with caption title "Acta regia. Number XXII." (or "Number XXIII." in gatherin BB) followed by advertisements on recto and verso; U3 (p. 297-298), U2 (p. 295-296), U5 (p. 301-302), U4 (p. 299-300); part t.p., designated "Number XXII. for June. Continuing the reign of King James I." (or "Number XXIII. for July. Concluding the reign of King James I. With an appendix.") and with price "1 s." following imprint, and on verso, the publisher's precis of the part; U6 (p. 303-304). The extra leaves, a bifolium, would thus have formed a wrapper for the whole number. The order of leaves in gathering BB is similarly disarranged. These extra leaves are disregarded in the signature statement given here.
The abridgment of tome 1 in vol. 1 is by Jean Le Clerc; Rapin-Thoyras's abridgment of tome 1 is in the appendix to vol. 4, p. 322-542.
